If you didn't already know, Floramama's guiding principle has always been to move away from what is too common in floristry! Starting in October, we carefully develop a selection of flower varieties that are as beautiful to the eye as they are beneficial for your garden! On the program, a maximum of petals, hardiness, a vibrant color palette, options for all flower growers.

Like all the varieties we want to share with you, the challenge is once again finding and procuring them. Some are easier: the "OG" (cosmos, ammi, amaranth...), classic essentials for all gardeners. Others are a little more difficult to source (poppies, foxgloves, eucalyptus and so on 😅).
Once we send our "wish list," we embark on several weeks of discussions with our suppliers to obtain our selection in sufficient quantities. Sometimes, quantities are limited, and that's why, despite our efforts, some varieties are sold out before you can even visit the store. We're always sorry to read about disappointed customers, but it shows a real enthusiasm and commitment on your part to bring blooms back to Quebec's gardens. That! That's what excites us and drives us to continue our mission of sharing with you.

Generally, our orders arrive during the two weeks of vacation we take during the holiday season to enjoy the slow pace of winter and our families ❤️ As you know, work/family balance is also one of the main reasons that pushed us to create Floramama. We want to share beauty while taking care of our families.
Then comes the surprise of the opening! As always, we are never sure we will receive all the varieties until they are in our hands. So we adjust the varieties we will have available for sale or we try to get them urgently from other seed companies. Quite a headache!

The seeds are then bagged by hand, one bag at a time. It's also an opportunity to welcome back our seasonal employees for a little winter blitz and spend some happy time together bagging. Despite a real challenge in terms of efficiency, it's often a "ritual" moment at Floramama where we take the time to drink tea, talk about our lives, and reconnect outside of the seasons, which have a frenetic pace for us and our flower grower/market gardener friends.
Since last year, we have been collaborating with Tania Jimenez and Clémence Langevin to create absolutely incredible illustrations on our seed packets! Each year we add new varieties and therefore new illustrations are produced and it is always a wonderful surprise to discover them!

New! We've made the decision to maximize the number of seed varieties grown and harvested on the farm. We started in 2024 with the bold "Giant Orange" marigolds and will be adding new farm-grown varieties each year. Another large portion of our gardens will be dedicated to content production. Photos and videos of beautiful flowers, you know... It's pretty incredible!
We hope you find the 2025 seed selection as badass as we do!
Chloe, Rapha and the team,
GROW WITH LOVE ❤️🌸
