Each season's end brings its share of precious rituals, and the last market of the year is our end-of-season "treat." Abandoning our bouquets of cut flowers to bring with us our magnificent bulbs to plant in the fall, this market has a different purpose than the others. This moment is a reward in itself, a way to close a season of labor with the slowness it deserves.

This special market only offers surplus bulbs, those that haven't found a buyer, and Chloé and I go there together, knowing full well that the traffic isn't the same as usual, which isn't the most profitable, but we go there to take the time to chat with the people passing by. We watch the city life go crazy while the moment when our pace will slow down is already almost palpable, it's so close...
Night falls early, we put up lights and a disco ball (yes, one day we'll make merch with a disco ball because we really like it!), the ginkgo trees are translucent yellow with the warm light from the streetlights piercing the leaves. In short, life is sweet.

After this last market, it's tradition: we head to a restaurant. These quality moments are rare between Chloé and me. Before becoming business partners, we were friends first, and this dinner is an opportunity to rediscover this simplicity, to refocus, to enjoy what matters. Chloé's (grown-up) children, now living in Montreal, join us to share this beautiful moment where we simply live in the present moment.
The more the years go by, the more we realize that this is what is essential: the humans. These humans with whom we work, with whom we live every day. The moments we choose to create together. This also involves making decisions, sometimes difficult ones, to be consistent with our lives and our values, for the wonderful humans around us.
There are no more leaves on the trees at the farm... The dahlias are being dug up to be stored for the entire winter, the shipment of bulb orders for our customers is being completed, and the bulbs for the farm will soon be planted. For the tenth year, another cycle is coming to an end, and at the same time, another preparation for the next cycle to come.
Thank you and thank you life ❤️🙏
