The Nachtwacht tulip is named after Rembrandt's famous painting "The Night Watch." Some flowers will be almost entirely plum-colored, while others will be heavily marked with ivory and buttery highlights. A rather rare variety to find!

• Plant the tulips where they will receive at least 6 hours of direct sunlight, even after flowering to ensure a production abundant the following year.
• Plant them in well-drained soil. Avoid areas where water stagnates after a storm.
• After tulips bloom, wait at least 8 weeks—until the leaves turn yellow—before cutting them. This year's leaves = next year's flowers!
