Nigella papillosa
Although nigellas may seem rather fragile, they are actually very hardy and provide early blooms for early spring. Their intricately cut foliage and star-shaped flowers, reminiscent of lace, bring texture to gardens and floral arrangements. They are also appreciated in the fruit stage, which can be used in dried arrangements. Beautiful shade of matte pale blue.
