Hibiscus acetosella
With its deep purple foliage reminiscent of Japanese maple leaves, this plant brings a dramatic look to garden borders and large container plantings. Primarily grown for its striking, cut leaves, this hibiscus is heat and drought tolerant. The more you prune it, the more it produces, making it an ideal choice for sunny gardens and spaces requiring dramatic foliage. It should be waited until the stems are woody (hard) to use in bouquets.
