Large, vigorous plants that produce an abundance of small tangerine flowers throughout the season on long stems. The smaller flowers are perfect for mixed bouquets and weddings.

Dahlias produce several flowers per plant and over a period of several weeks if given proper care.
It is necessary to dig up the tubers in the fall and store them in winter because they do not tolerate frost.

Dahlias can be grown in pots as long as the pot is AT LEAST 12 to 14 inches in diameter and 12 inches deep.

Harvest flowers when they are 3/4 open (unfurled), but not overripe. Dahlias are difficult to open once cut. Place in fresh water soon after harvesting. Flowers last 3 to 5 days in a vase.
