Godetia grandiflora

One of the most prolific flowers grown on the farm. Each stem produces clusters of cup-shaped flowers that open one after the other in a vase, making the pleasure last! Also called satin flower, its petals are truly delicate, reminiscent of poppies. The stems are sturdy and the flower clusters are oriented upward, making them excellent cut flowers.

Sow 4 weeks before the last frost and transplant outdoors once all risk of frost has passed. Godetias prefer growing in cool conditions. Ideally, nights should not exceed 21 degrees Celsius. It may be a good idea to provide a support to prevent crooked stems.

Harvest when the first flower opens. Individual flowers only last a few days, but the multitude of buds extends vase life.
