Wallflowers are very fragrant with a peppery scent that we love. This variety is a selection of 100% double flowers, unlike most other varieties which are often composed of 50% single flowers and 50% double flowers. Double flowers are fleshier and have a much more interesting visual impact than single flowers. A spring staple for several years at Floramama!

Wallflowers thrive in cool weather. Sow 6 weeks before the last frost and transplant as early as possible into the garden. They need support such as staking or horizontal trellis netting as they grow to prevent them from drooping and bending their stems.
This variety produces only one flowering stem per plant. It is important not to deadhead them as this will stop flowering.
Wallflowers are members of the brassica family, which are popular with flea beetles. Cover with insect netting when transplanting if necessary.
Harvest when the flower stalk is well stretched and half of the flowers are open.
7 to 10 days in a vase.
