Digitalis lanata
The flower hues blend to create a mocha/cream palette, giving this beauty its delicious name. Hood-like flowers form around the strong, stiff stems. This variety is very productive, producing 3 to 6 stems per plant. Foxgloves are some of my favorite flowers!
NOTE: Flowering occurs in late spring, during the second growing season.
*All parts of foxgloves are toxic if swallowed. Be careful around children and pets.

Sow 10 to 12 weeks before your first fall frost and transplant to gardens in well-drained soil at least 6 weeks before your first fall frost to establish the plants before winter. They will overwinter in the garden and bloom the following spring! Foxgloves readily self-seed, so cut back the flower stalks after flowering if this is not your desire.
Harvest when the first third of the flowers on the flower stalk are open.
5 to 7 days in a vase.
