The most productive variety of all! Terracotta keeps producing throughout the flowering period. The flowers, as their name suggests, are a deep peach with coppery hues. The plants grow quite tall and the stems are long, perfect for vases.

Dahlias produce several flowers per plant and over a period of several weeks if given proper care.
It is necessary to dig up the tubers in the fall and store them in winter because they do not tolerate frost.

Dahlias can be grown in pots as long as the pot is AT LEAST 12 to 14 inches in diameter and 12 inches deep.

Harvest flowers when they are 3/4 open (unfurled), but not overripe. Dahlias are difficult to open once cut. Place in fresh water soon after harvesting. Flowers last 3 to 5 days in a vase.
