Sow indoors 4 to 6 weeks before the last frost and transplant outdoors when all risk of frost has passed. Direct sowing is not recommended. Grows taller in a tunnel.

Harvest the entire plants when they are firm and the desired height is reached. Harvest during the coolest part of the day. Immediately after harvesting, immerse the bottom few inches of the stems in boiling water for 7 to 10 seconds.
