Bupleurum rotundifolium
We harvest bupleurum at two different stages depending on the time of year. In summer when the flowers are a vibrant golden yellow and the foliage is chartreuse green, or in autumn when the flowers have matured into seeds and the foliage has turned bronze, leathery, and burnt yellow.
Placed in a mixed bouquet, the bupleurum flowers look as if they were little bees that came to forage there. Bupleurum also makes an excellent dried flower. Truly unique foliage!
Packaging is in French only. Please refer to our website for full details.

Sow indoors 5 to 8 weeks before the last frost and transplant outdoors when all risk of frost has passed. Can also be sown directly outdoors as soon as the soil can be worked. Bupleurum prefers moist soil. For a prolonged harvest, sow successions every 2-3 weeks.
Harvest when the flowers are fully open, otherwise they tend to wilt. Or wait until the flowers have finished flowering and harvest when the seeds form for foliage that turns bronze. Don't wait too long to harvest when the seeds form, as they will fall everywhere if they are too mature.
