Sow indoors 4 to 5 weeks before the last frost and transplant outdoors when all risk of frost has passed. Can also be sown directly outdoors once all risk of frost has passed.

Harvest when half the flowers on a stem are open, revealing a yellow center. To dry, remove the foliage and hang the stems upside down in a warm, dark place until they harden. The flowers continue to open as they dry.
