Alliums are a must-have in the garden because they are beautiful both in bloom and from seed. This allium variety is very hardy and has an excellent vase life. Its magnificent amethyst-colored flower explodes like fireworks at the end of its long stems. Its small, star-shaped flowers form spheres up to 8 inches in diameter that sparkle in the sunlight.
Alliums grow larger year after year.

Plant alliums where they will receive at least 6 hours of direct sunlight, even after flowering, to ensure abundant production the following year.
Plant them in well-drained soil. Avoid areas where water stagnates after a storm.
After alliums bloom, wait at least 8 weeks—until the leaves turn yellow—before cutting them back. This year's leaves = next year's flowers!
