A highly prized cousin of the allium Schubertii, the Arctic snow reveals impressive umbels Immaculate white aerial flowers that can reach 12 inches. Each flower is composed of ivory-green buds that give rise to delicate white flowers streaked with green. The delicate and light appearance of the schubertii variety is found thanks to its long stems of about 16 inches. Once the flowers have faded, the fireworks continue thanks to its long, green, knobbly seed pods. Alliums are a must-have in the garden because they are beautiful both in flower and in seed.
Alliums grow larger year after year.

Plant alliums where they will receive at least 6 hours of direct sunlight, even after flowering, to ensure abundant production the following year.
Plant them in well-drained soil. Avoid areas where water stagnates after a storm.
After alliums bloom, wait at least 8 weeks—until the leaves turn yellow—before cutting them back. This year's leaves = next year's flowers!
