Sow indoors 3 to 4 weeks before the last frost and transplant outdoors when all risk of frost has passed. Cover the seeds only lightly as light aids germination. Celosias like warmth.

Harvest when the flowers on the bottom third are open and the stems are stiff. Remove 3/4 of the foliage at harvest. The flowers can also be dried for later use.
